Few pics from my last project in Information Illustration. This was " A Day in the Life of..." project, and I decided to draw my Dad who works at Syncrude. Yep, that's a portrait of my pop!

One of the last projects I had to do before I graduate! I was exploring space and graffiti form. I haven't done graffiti in a while so this turned into a fun project. I then embedded the graffiti into various parts of ACAD. In my opinion ACAD needs something like this cause it looks and feels like a prison or bombshelter.

Here's a new one for Mikes class. I reused some of my skull parts from a previous project in a more interesting, less analytical way. Basically I wanted to balance hand drawn images with vector objects in an explosion of ink. Lots of fun. Probably sell some prints of this at the upcoming Show and Sale.

These are images from my latest school project. The idea for my project was an illustrated collection of real war journals, poems, speeches, and memoirs from the canadian soldiers of the first World War. So I left space in some of the illustrations for where the type would go. These are more atmospheric in nature because I wanted them to express the personal memories of the war rather than a realistic representation of the war.

Some sketches for a project at school. The idea is to make two hanging banners showcasing an artist or writer. I chose Amon Tobin, cause his music makes for good art! Not to mention the fact that he's awesome. If you haven't heard him, look him up!

Acucrack Test Intro from Ben Leonard on Vimeo.

Yes yes, yet another test for my video project. I'm starting to get better at modeling in Cinema 4D although the camera control still needs some work. Started to merge with After Effects in this one.

Robot Interface from Ben Leonard on Vimeo.

This is another part of my video project. It will serve as the interface of the robot. And later how the two robots "merge"

Just some random character silhouettes I made up today. This a new style I'm tryin out. It's kinda inspired by friend Erans picture on her site.

Here are example screenshots of my Information Design project. I basically am making an interactive atlas of anatomy inspired by traditional medical drawings of the 1800's. So far I've illustrated all the 22 bones in the skull.

This is an older project I did for school. I still like it so I thought I would put it up here. Just a short promo for a company I made up.

Video Fuzz Test from Ben Leonard on Vimeo.

Just a Test for the video I'm making for Dj? Acuccrack's song "Send More Paramedics". For this test I wanted to show how audio reactive particles could form images in 3D. I'll post more tests as this project unfolds!

Been a while since I put something on here. Actually I kinda forgot I had this blog... Anyways I've been playin around in zbrush and wouldn't cha know it, I made a zombie. This is just a rough copy of him. still don't know what kinda costume I'll dress him in. I'm open to suggestions. Much more to come!
